Live 8 Cornwall - Africa Calling, Eden Project
The
Africa Calling contribution to the Live 8 concerts was hosted in Cornwall,
England at the Eden Project Arena. The concert was held on the stage in
the Eden area, near one of the world's largest greenhouses. The Eden Project
is a massive environmental and educational venue that offers to visitors
a wonderful look into our green planet though three unique biodomes that
represent three distinct climates found around the world
The Live 8 Concert was presented in association with WOMAD and it's co-founder
Peter Gabriel. This Live 8 contribution promised to be awesome and extraordinary.
Listed in alphabetical order are the musicians that prerformed at the
Live 8 Cromwell concert. The following acts included Akim El Sikameya,
Angelique Kidjo, Ayub Ogada, Daara J, Maryam Mursal, Modou Diouf &
O Fogum, Salif Keita, Shikisha, Thomas Mapfumo & the Blacks Unified,
Tinariwen, and Youssou N'Dour.
