Live
8. Live Comments
from concert goers
James
Bandy, Sydney, Australia
The Live8 London show was fantastic! I thought U2, Robbie
Williams and The Who were the best though. Pink Floyd should
get back together. I am not quite sure about the cause though.
A lot of foul language here at live8 London.
Rick Hudson, Ontario, Canada
Live8 Barrie was rockin'. Bryan Adams, who was at the original
Live Aid concert was here as well. The crowd went nuts when
he did an acoustic number on his guitar. The Barenaked Ladies
and Motley Crue got the crowd goin. I wish Neil Young had
done Powderfinger.
Michael Han, Chiba, Japan
Do as Infinity is a real crowd pleaser for Live8 Japan.
Although there weren't as many people as I had hoped, it
was still a great turnout. At least the bathrooms were clean.
Bjork was the best of the day. I wish they would have showed
more of the foreign acts. Is there going to be a live8live
japan dvd set?
John Fleischer, Worcestershire, England
Annie Lennox is my all time favorite. She sings like a bird.
It would have been cool if Dave Stewart had showed up to
live8 London. Sweet Dreams was a blast to the past. The
crowds were fun and everyone was getting on great. A lovely
day to be sure.
Manseur Husien, Auvergne, France
Wow, what a concert. The live8 Paris shows was the best
concert I have ever attended. I watched Florent Pagny, Faudel,
Kyo, Johnny Hallyday, Kool Shen, Louis Bertignac, Disiz
La Peste, Muse, and Tina Arena. I had never heard of The
Cure, but they were brilliant.
John Dagley, Sheffield, England
I came all the way down from Sheffield and saw Robbie Williams,
Snoop Doggy, Scissor Sisters, Snow Patrol, Stereophonics,
Travis, U2 and Paul McCartney. The Live8live London show
was truly a day to remember. I got a lot of great pictures
and hope to see the live8live show on DVD sometime soon.
I doubt that there will ever be a concert like it again.
Randy Musser, Port Talbot
Ms Dynamite was a blast. Here performance at live8 was a
great set. I also liked REM and Eveerybody hurts. Although
it was a slow song. It got everybody thinking. They showed
the Drive video from Live Aid and I almost lost it. It is
hard to belive it has been 20 years. I was at the Live Aid
concert in Wembley, and this event was as good or even better.
There were so many acts to see, I wonder how they
will fit it all on a DVD set?
Robert Tenutar, Parme Italy
I came out to see live8 at the maximus. The day was most
memorable with Francesco De Gregori Antonello Articolo 31,
Venditti, , Biagio Antonacci, Faith Hill and Tm McGraw.
I liked our show the best. The video feeds from the other
countries did not show that much. I am not sure if the Rolling
Stones played at live8live Canada, but if they did it would
be nice to see if they are on the DVD. Wasn't Nena supposed
to play this concert. She was listed in the Live8live tour
program that I bought.
Debra Altomare, Brussels
I came all the way from Brussels to watch the live8 Paris
show. Beautiful surroundings for the live8 day. I watched
the live8 video screens to all the people during the finger
snap thingy. I was all choked up by the thought that all
these people came together to make a statement to the world
leaders. The G8 had better listen to Bono and do the right
thing for Africa. They have been beaten down for years.
It is time the world gives them a chance. Live8live can
make that difference.
Phyllis Mariano, Philadelphia,
USA
I was listening to Radio One from Georgetown University
via the Internet. The concert sounds great I wish I could
be there I don't get MTV, so this is the best that I was
able to do. I should have started to record it, but I didn't
know how. I hope they offer this live8live set on CD.
