Light-Pop-Rock.. or something like that.. deep poetic
lyrics (most of the time hehe) and nice guitar melodies! A band really
worth listening to
Date of birth: The first version of the band formed in 1989 with 15 members.
Bi-2 won the Monte Carlo World Music Award in 2001 for being the top selling
Russian band.
Bi-2 were banned from theatre in 1997. Shura and Leva were producing plays
together containing brutal scenes. The authorities were so offended that
they were banned from all theatres in Russia.
In 2000, Bi-2's single titled “Serebro” (“Silver”)
was number one on the Radio Maximum charts for 8 weeks. The duo are bigger
than tATu in Russia
