Dreams Come True at Live 8
Dreams Come True is a Japanese band with a musical
materialization of style, class, and grace. They seem to have limitless
melodic creativity and it has been noted that their true vocal power;
of unyielding vision has lead to their unsurpassed evolution.
Dreams Come True offers music that is a pleasure to the mind, the ear,
and the soul. Dreams Come True often mixes styles composing songs with
influences from Pop, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Disco, R&B, Rock, Hip Hop,
Latin, and Classical.
Founded in 1988, Dreams Come True's features Nakamura Masato, an arranger,
producer, bass player, Yoshida Miwa, lead vocalist, songwriter, and Nishikawa
Takahiro, keyboards. They are often referred to as DCT and dorikamu by
their fans.
DTC is one of the most popular and influential Japanese bands of all time.
In hopes of bridging the world gap, they have been recording in English,
in addition to Japanese, for years now. They have three full English albums.
Two of DCT's English singles have even made it to number 1 on the Japanese
charts.
Dreams Come True is well known for setting standards on the sales front.
They have close to 30 million in album sales and 15 million in singles
sales. In fact, DCT is one of the best selling Japanese groups of all
time. The Swinging Star, was the first album in Japanese history to sell
over 3 million copies.
Their biggest hit single of the career was "LOVE LOVE LOVE,"
which was used as the theme song of a popular TBS drama and sold more
than 2 million copies in 1995.
Dreams Come True made the music for Sonic The Hedgehog and even helped
design the main character.
A set of Dreams Come True songs was compiled and used in the game Dancing
Stage feat. Dreams Come True.
