Negramaro at Live 8
The six members of Negramaro: Giukiano Sangiorgi,
voals, guitar - Emanuele Spedicato, guitars - Ermanno Carla, bass - Danilio
Tasco, drums - Andrea Mariano, piano, synthesizer - Andrea De Rocco, sampling,
grew up together in Lecce. After learning their instruments, the began
writing songs and hit the road determined to make it big.
Their dedication soon paid off as reviews form their live shows indicated
a band that showed true promise. They quickly achieved status in becoming
one of the top ten finalists in 2001 during a MTV competition for Brand
New Talent.
Since then the boys of Negramaro have been translating their live energy
onto CD, their eponymous debut album has won rave reviews from those who
see them injecting a little fresh energy back into the Italian rock scene.
